16th JULY - CAPTURE THE WINDRUSH LANDSCAPE,

OUTDOOR PAINTING IN WATERCOLOUR

On this course, Paul will guide you through his key techniques for simplifying

and painting the local landscape on location. Painting outdoors was a practice

the late James Fletcher-Watson was deeply passionate about, experiencing

and responding to the subject and atmosphere at first hand.

Paul is keen to share and continue that practice, helping students enjoy

and get the best from an onsite painting.

8th OCTOBER - BOATS & HARBOURS IN WATERCOLOUR

Harbour settings are always full of inspiring subjects, from boats at high or low tide,

to the quayside buildings and surrounding landscape. With advice on sketching and

painting boats, buildings, water and reflections, the focus will be on simplifying the

scene and capturing a sense of atmosphere.
